Problem
The temperature of cooling fluids utilized throughout a big crude oil refinery's process is controlled via a direct heat exchanger. The heat exchanger was exposed to a range of chemicals as a result of its interactions with the water and refinery activities.
The heat exchanger consequently exhibited severe corrosion and oxidation throughout the system despite being coated with a competitor coating.
Solution
The refinery chose Devcon Brushable Ceramic Blue Coating since the competing protective material was unable to offer the requisite level of protection.
The failed protective coating, as well as all oxidation and corrosion, were removed from the heat exchanger using sandblasting, exposing the surface to a white metal state. Both the system's interior and external portions received a coating of Devcon Brushable Ceramic Blue Coating.
The equipment met client expectations by being swiftly put back into use and continuing to endure the corrosive nature of the process
Project Outcome
With the aid of Devcon Brushable Ceramic Blue Coating, the Refinery Heat Exchange System was restored to working order.
Highly Resistant Coating
- Devcon Brushable Ceramic Blue Coating offers a long-lasting solution by withstanding the corrosive nature of oil refining processes.
- Applying the Devcon Brushable Ceramic Blue coating prevents the equipment from further oxidation and corrosion, extending the equipment's useful life.
Simple and Safe to Apply
Devcon Brushable Ceramic Blue Coating can be applied with just a brush and doesn't require any extra tools, such sprayers.
Gloves and safety glasses are the only PPE required for the application of Devcon Brushable Ceramic Blue Coating.
Devcon Brushable Ceramic Blue Coating is a safe coating with few HSE problems because it is 100% solids.
In tough settings and even after many years of continuous use, Devcon Brushable Ceramic Blue Coating offers long-lasting corrosion prevention. With Devcon coatings, you can safeguard your equipment, increase its lifespan, and reduce potentially dangerous future maintenance cycles.
