Three Bond TB1212 is a white single-component, solvent free and non-acid RTV-Silicone (Room Temperature Vulcanising) rubber. An oxime neutral cure type, TB1212 can be used for general sealing as well as for electrical insulation. It presents no offensive odour during curing, and will not corrode metal (corrosion of copper based metals may occur when hermetically sealed). In addition TB1212 adheres well on alkali materials such as mortar and cement. TB 1212 has outstanding mechanical resistance against shear forces, with excellent adhesion even to slightly polluted surfaces. It is extremely fast curing with no shrinkage and no generation of corrosive gases. It permits normal disassembly.

TB1212 is a non-flowing single-component, solvent free and non-acid RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) silicone
liquid gasket. TB1212 is ideal for places where a long, faultless seal is absolutely critical. Recommended for sealing
flange surfaces, screw sections and as a gasket dressing, to prevent oil, water, gasoline and chemical leaks. Long
tack-free time and fully cured in 24 hours. Recommended for multi-purpose bonding and sealing.

Directions for Use

• In order to fully utilise the performance of the liquid gasket, it is recommended to eliminate oil, dirt and any
  previous gasket material from the work. Oil and grease can be effectively removed by cleaning with TB6602W
  Super Cleaner.
• TB1212 may be applied directly from the tube.
• Cut nozzle to desired bead size, 3mm is suitable for most applications.
• Apply a uniform continuous bead to the sealing flange and assemble the parts immediately or within 5 minutes
  whilst silicone is still wet. Tighten bolts to specified torque – no need to re-torque later.
• For gasket dressing apply a thin film to flange, place solid gasket and apply a second film of TB1212 on top
  surface.
• Assemble parts immediately or within 5 minutes.

Handling precautions

• TB1212 liquid gasket has been proven to be safe to handle as long as normal hygienic practices are observed.
• Avoid breathing fumes and repeated or prolonged skin contact.
• Contact with skin in such conditions should be avoided by using gloves or barrier creams.
• Refer to the product MSDS for further details.
• Use and keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Keep the container tightly sealed and store in a dry cool place avoiding direct sunlight.

Description of first aid measures

• After inhalation : Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep
  patient warm. Consult doctor if symptoms persist.
  In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position
  for transportation.
• After skin contact : Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
  If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
• After eye contact : Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then
  consult a doctor.
• After swallowing : Do not induce vomiting; call for medical help immediately.
  A person vomiting while lying on their back should be turned onto
  their side.
  Induce vomiting, only if affected person is fully conscious.
